Light metering

The returns from supplemental lighting installations decrease over time. How fast this happens depends on various factors. The light output from lamps decreases as does reflector efficiency. Decreased returns such as this often remain hidden because they generally cannot be observed with the naked eye. Raymax can measure the decreased returns objectively based on various light measurements. Raymax has its own metering laboratory available for this purpose that has an Ulbricht Sphere, for measuring lamps, and a Goniomobiel, which is a mobile unit for measuring reflectors. Raymax offers the option of having these measurements taken annually so that you are up to date regarding the efficiency of your supplemental lighting installation. They offer a Supplemental Lighting Contract (SLC) (Groeilichtcontract (GLC)), for this purpose, which takes the responsibility for optimum performance of the supplemental lighting installation of your shoulders.

Condenser metering

With conventional fittings the condensers are used, among other things, to limit the fitting’s current The value of the condensers will slowly fall over their working life. Harmonic distortion of the mains voltage is a quality indication of the mains voltage, expressed in %. The higher the value the worse it is. Harmonic distortion of the mains voltage leads to a considerably shorter working life for condensers as well as voltage peaks and/or excessive temperatures. Condenser metering measures the number of µF from the condenser. If this deviates by more than 15% the condensers have to be replaced. In such a case the installation actually uses more power and the cables become too warm which causes wear to the installation.

The condenser# metering will, of course, be carried out in accordance with the Metering Protocol as agreed for horticultural lighting installations.
